A visual artist, poet, and tireless walker, Johnny Lebigot creates fascinating and delicate installations.
His enchanting universe is built on several materials. In the forests, or on beaches, he collects plants, minerals or animals, feathers, pebbles, pieces of wood, pieces of plane trees, hair, shells, mushrooms, birds’ skeletons, lizards, fishbones... When asked about his unique techniques, he talked about his childhood in Normandy, « a land of sorcerers ».
Johnny Lebigot brings life to all these elements and imagines fabulous constructions where everything intertwines so as to elaborate an indefinite reign which is impossible to describe? It resonates with the paintings of old masters (Redon, Moreau, Bruegel, Bosch...).
A wild and wonderful universe that has the strength of dreams and gives freedom to all our imaginations.
