Inspired by the street dances that emerged in the 80s and are still flourishing today, The House of Trouble is a hymn to humanity in all its dazzling diversity!
This fiery show by Greek choreographer Patricia Apergi unfolds through so many acts of resistance to the violence suffered every day by anonymous people. Indeed, since their origins, urban dances have not only been the expression of a musical style, they have also carried within them an irrepressible breath of freedom and the fever of the struggle against oppression.
Krump, voguing, contemporary dance: the richness of the genre is represented here. To compose this explosive feast, the artists conducted research in Athens, Paris and New York, crisscrossing the balls at the very heart of the authenticity of this overflowing choreographic material. Today, seven dancers deliver a piece imbued with the poetics of club culture, exalting the beauty of bodies and plural identities.
